Does the owner see my contact details?
Never. Cigalo passes on your message without sharing your number, your email or your identity.
How does Cigalo know who owns a plate?
Only owners who have registered their plate with Cigalo receive messages. We have no access to any vehicle registration records.
What happens if the plate isn't registered?
The message simply finds no recipient. For privacy, the app always shows the same confirmation, whether a plate is known or not.
How long do you keep my data?
Your plates are kept for 1 year (owned or long-term lease) or 1 month (short-term rental), then deleted automatically.
Does Cigalo replace the emergency services?
No. If there is any danger, call 112, 17 or 18 first. Cigalo is only ever a complement.
